Who is Franchise Development

Franchise Development, L.P. (FDLP) was founded in 2003 by Texan Freddy O'Pry. Mr. O'Pry had previously owned several franchises and businesses. He has been a successful entrepreneur with a broad, diverse career in computer systems (Information Technology) , as the owner of franchises selling overnight shipping services through a team of professional sales people, as a national seminar speaker introducing the tax savings capability of certain portions of the IRS tax code, and as the founder of Financial Freedom Group which was a finance services and insurance sales firm. In 2003 he opened the first Massage Envy clinic outside the state of Arizona in the Houston area as a Massage Envy franchisee and Regional Franchise Developer in the Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth Regions.

Today FDLP oversees almost 60 Massage Envy clinics and spas making it the most successful Massage Envy Regional Franchise Developer company in America while being responsible for over $52,000,000 million in massages, facials, and related services and retail product sales annually.

In 2005 Mr. O'Pry was joined by his son, Lance O'Pry, as the Franchise Operations Manager and partner in FDLP. Lance, a business management graduate of Baylor University, was on the fast track at Frito-Lay having been promoted from professional recruiter, to assistant Human Resources (HR) manager in the largest Frito-Lay plant in America outside of Atlanta, Georgia, to HR manager of the Frito-Lay plant near Rosenberg, Texas.

Susie Higgins is the Director of Training for the company. Mrs. Higgins has an extensive background in business and franchising and lends valuable on going franchisee support and training services helping to ensure the financial success of franchisees and their franchised businesses. The commitment to franchisees goes beyond merely helping prospective franchisees to find just the right franchise for themselves and their families and selling them franchises. Our desire is to make lifelong friends of our franchisees as well as to continue to support their efforts to succeed.

Margaret (Muffy) O'Pry, Freddy's wife and Lance's mother, provides financial support to the team as the Chief Financial Officer (C.F.O.). Her tasks include accounts receivable, accounts payables banking, and Special Events Coordinator for trade shows, corporate and institutional events, etc.
